Hinata grew up with a clear idea of what she wanted from life. After applying herself in school and working hard to prove to her father that she could be a worthy business investment, Hinata went and took an accelerated program at Konoha University getting her degree in Business Management. She then took out a loan from her father and bought out the bakery which had been instrumental in the start of her life coming together. Some would consider Hinata to be boring and even closed in due to her spending most of her time either at work or home cooking and sleeping, but she is happy. She does occasionally socialize with people, but she has never been much of a partier even in her youth.

She still employs most of the original staff but changed the name to The Cookie Fairy Bakery and has worked hard to transform the little family style bakery into a place where people could sit and enjoy a fresh from the ovens treat while checking their email and having coffee. She spends most of her time there, devoting the time and effort that could be spent on a relationship on improving her business. When not at the bakery, she still dances at the same dance studio, giving lessons to the younger students and occasionally participates in dance competitions.

She kept in close touch with her old friends, trying hard to be the one who stayed closest to her home and her true self, and at just twenty-one years old Hinata has matured into a confident woman who still has no idea the effect she can have on people. At times shy and even hesitant to express her true feelings, Hinata never grew out of being everybody's little sister. In fact, standing at barely 5ft 3in, she might just be the shortest of all her friends as well.

In the course of five years Hinata has been through enough drama to last her a lifetime. She grew tired of being a victim and applied herself in learning how to use her natural grace in more martial endeavors. With the help of some of her more capable friends, Hinata has learned how to make certain she would never be a victim to anyone or anything except her heart again. She still is not very relationship savvy, but she is learning, and as always, Hinata helps pretty much any friend who comes to her without expecting anything in return, and always makes sure she has a room available if somebody needs it.

She still holds a special place in her heart for Naruto, helping Naruto by keeping him employed and by being there when times get rough. She also still cares for Shino, but respects his need for space and has given him his freedom from her. In a strange twist, Naruto is probably the one person who Hinata knows she can truly trust no matter what, and hopes he feels the same about her.
